Timing wasn't as bad. Total distance traveled 28km, time of arrival 1hr/ 15mins. I left Main St. Subway station and got off at Kipling station then hopped on the 112 West Mall bus towards Burnhamthorpe Rd. Then made my way to my office which is only across the street from the drop-off.

Since I am at work early enough to write this blog, I'm planning a rough sketch in my head how I'm going to get home. So saying that I leave here at 1am, the last train for Kipling station leaves approx. 01:15am. That means I either grab a cab (that my company will cover) and hopefully catch the last train out to Main station. Otherwise, I'll be riding the night bus at 01:30am in the morning. I'm positive that this will WOK!

I recently finished watching this video about a stellar space-man navigating a space-station so a bunch of people can watch Charlie Chaplin and the moon. Is there a story to this.. sure a very short one with no plot at all. But I think the film makers just wanted to create a futuristic, space station orbiting the moon from a garage studio. To me with "no money into the project and a bunch of people who are just passionate about what they love to do," I give them alot of credit to their imagination and creativity.

Not everyday we get to watch something like this right? Especially the lunar eclipse that passed us this morning. This is wicked! Great job to this team.

You can watch the Lunar Eclipse Tonight (well, early tomorrow morning technically) as it will be December 21, which is the Winter Solstice. Sky gazers and Astronomers will be able to see something occur that hasn't happened in almost 500 years. That being the full moon lunar eclipse occurring on the shortest day of the year, aka the Winter Solstice.

A total lunar eclipse, which occurs as the sun, Earth, and moon are aligned and the moon passes through the Earth's shadow, will be best viewed from 12:30 a.m. tonight and it will reach its fullness around 2:30 a.m., says Thomas Lee Hench, an associate professor at Delaware County Community College, in an e-mail. It will last until about 6 a.m. tomorrow morning.

"This eclipse is unusual in that it occurs along with the winter solstice (the first day of winter) and a full moon. While always interesting, this eclipse will be viewable in our area and at totality the moon will be bathed in ruddy light," wrote Hench, who teaches astronomy as well as technical and university physics at the college. "In earlier times, this reddening was view as related to blood with dire consequences for the people observing it.

So if it isn't too cloudy, check it out in person, or if you are not able to see because of bad weather, check out NASA.com for pictures and video of the event.

How does a person remember ads? BMW will tell you. BMW flashed an audience with a blinding light that included a cutout of their logo. When the audience was told to close their eyes, they still saw the letters: BMW.

The video explains that the effect it's akin to staring at the sun for too long, when you close your eyes, you can still sorta see a spot there (or go blind). BMW used that to their advantage, flashing a bright screen during their commercial that included a cutout of the letters BMW, so when the audience was instructed to close their eyes, they saw BMW projected against their eyelids.

It's creative advertising (and they say it was harmless) and the focus group seemed mightily impressed with the effect. It tied into the commercial quite nicely too, check out how it was done in the video above (though the flash effect doesn't work over YouTube). [Wired]

I went on a movie date with my fiancee today and I brought her to Eglington Town Cineplex Odeon for the late show at 10:30pm. I expected a sold out house but we sat infront of an annoying group who spoke an annoying language. Don't you hate that?

I was given a surprised EARLY Christmas present from my fiance. It was a Voucher, a PORTABLE LIGHTING WORKSHOP Voucher. LOL. This happened last weekend but I learned alot about the use of Portable Speedlights with soft-boxes and umbrellas. We discussed the famous sub-culture of Strobiest lighting. I think its wicked but not wicked for my pocket. So anything that will do the job right without hurting my budget is great. Our instructor, Len Van Bruggen is an award-winning photographer, owner and founder of Lens Factory.

I met some local photographers who attended the workshop and we learned different styles and techniques about lighting set-ups and the camera we use.

Winter is taking over

I came home for the weekend to visit my family in London, Ontario and had dinner at this new joint called Green Tea. The dining wasn't bad considering it taste like a Toronto chinese restaurant (Generalizing).
We were 10mins out from our place when rain suddenly turned into our white, fluffy, friendly flakes and blanketed hwy #2 which made driving very hazardous. Thank goodness I installed my winter tires two weekends ago. Before my Si, I was looking into buying the tC from Scion in the States when Canada did not distribute the car maker in 2006. Seven years later after they were first introduced in North America. Toyota finally unleashed its hold and now selling in Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver and soon the rest of the nation.

John Pangilinan's post on Fatlace clearly made me think that Scion has gone a long way to produce a youthful and fun car to drive. His project, Scion tC, was entered in the 2010 Scion Tuner Challange.

What do you do on a Halloween weeekend? Trick or Treat, dress-up as Snooki or Lady Gaga or hand candy to trick or treaters? This Halloween Tiffany and I took a trip to New York State for a weekend getaway that was long overdue. I realized how much I miss taking trips with Tiffany and enjoying the long drives. Crossing Stateside was great and now I feel like I want to go back. Shoot, I even told her I wanted to drive to NYC sometime soon. If not...why not SF?

Just the few things we did this weekend: crazy shopping @ tj maxx, walmart, target, aj write, ate some yummy chicken wings and dunkin donuts and finally, checked out the casino and sights at niagara falls.

So i'm excited for our next trip. Whatever that may be, it'll be Epic as long as I'm with Tiffany ;)

Just recently I saw a video which involved a car and cans of paint. Bam x Vogue, graffiti street artists transformed a Lexus IS 350 into a mural of ART. The outcome was absolutely spectacular.

Between LIGHT & DARK; one half Vogue took on the dark side of the spectrum where Bam took on the lighter side of his ARTform.

Its a birthday cake, not a purse. LOL A friend of mine baked this delicious Chanel Purse Cake for a surprise birthday party made from vanilla mix. I had to ask what his recipe for the cake would be and he was kindly nice enough to let me blog it for all of you too see. It consists of "3 layered cake ...each layer has 2 colors to give a total of 6 layers. Crumb coated with buttercream vanilla icing (a crumb coat is the layer of frosting applied in-between each layer and around the cake to glue it and glue the fondant). Lastly it's decorated with fondant icing which was the pink and black layer." Gawd it was so good! What a sugar rush :)

Hello blog readers, after months of job hunting, interviews and social networking I am back on the employment list. Its just a part-time job for now but it's a start to bigger things and getting back on track with my finances which is top priority. The job? Just your ordinary Fork-lift driver for a company called Jem's coating, somewhere in Concord On. After a week 1/2 working there, I caught on pretty quick.
Although its a part-time/full-time hours type job I've been working on a project on the side. Stay tuned for that.

It's tuesday and the movie tickets are half price. That's when I saw this movie "Wall Street 2" with my fiancee.

My critic: Great Film, it definitely is a must see. A cameo segment with Charlie Sheen as, Bud Fox was cool.

And Shia LaBeouf, again made a terrific Jacob "Jake" Moore character. Young and energetic he pulled off a great show!

I have to watch it again...

If you haven't seen the film. go watch it!

If I had a bonus of 1 million for the year, I'd spend 20% on my family and friends, 15% on myself, 15% on my fiancee and 50% back into the Stock Game.

Its so calm and relaxing at the Beaches. Looking at the waves crashing through the rocky barriers makes me want to jump in. The warm air breeze is cool enough for an old white man to swim in the water without worrying about shrinkage. Even though Toronto's smog isn't enough for these locals to skip walking on the boardwalk there was a humid advisory warning we had this afternoon. Eh, never bothers anybody. Coming down here was such a great idea. I'm pretty sore as hell from rollerblading and working out my lower body at #Goodlifefitness. You can say this is my sauna.

Okay, WOW! So I googled this phrase, "LOVE MEANS NOTHING" and the answers I found are;

With that being said, I enjoy the game of tennis and I think it is one of the sports I can play all day. Going to the Roger's Cup Qualifying is a different story.

My fiancee, Tiffany somehow managed to get us free tickets on the opening day. Thank you baby! I finally had a Nikon D90 with two additional lenses to play with and of course I brought it with me to the event. My images turned out really good and I was happy with the DOF I shot of Rafael Nadal from a range of 75m.
Holding down the shutter while the players made their serves was much easier rather than timing the actual shot I wanted to take. Hey, i'm an amateur at sports shooting. Even so, I had fun doing it and was such a beautiful day at the Rexall Centre. Here are my images that I shot during that day. Enjoy!

My Cali relatives came up to visit my family because my baby sister had her 18th Birthday Party. In filipino terms, aka a DEBUT. So we brought them to the city of #Toronto and did alot of site seeing, alot of Korean BBQ dining and alot of picture snapping. So I found out just how precious and expensive my Honda 2006 Si can be especially I'm saving up for a wedding.

With the clutch kit, it doesn't come with a flywheel so I believe I have to look for this one too? FUDGE@!!

I've been busy with Debut photos for a client and this is all I can show for now. I redesigned my original log and kept the leaf coz I think it symbolizes the significance of success. I intend to follow my dream and pursue my goal until I land on becoming successful in my #LIFE.

I like this logo and my little slogan. "Bringing Lifecloser." I attached closer to LIFE because if you truely know me, that's how I am. I bring people/friends & even places that's close to me and that becomes my #LIFE endeavour. I'm enjoying #LIFE right now and absolutely great-full for what I have. I continue to learn and grow every breath I inhale and exhale.

We can't go wrong with Free Tickets. All shout outs goes to Donna for hooking us up. Regardless it was only the Qualifying Day and also Family Day at Rexall Centre, my finacee and I had a great time. The weather cooperated from sunshine to cloudy skies but that didnt stop me from climbing steel bars just to take snaps at Rafeal Nadal. Then some fat security lady told me to get down. HA! I had enuff shots that would make me a paparazzi. Alot of people crowded to take a glimpse of Nadal but psych'd everybody out when security guards led him at the backdoors away from cheerful fans. LMAO! Glad I made some monkey business.

It was an eventful morning. Loving it!

Ps. Also a shout out to my friend #blancaQGaray for hustlin the equipment. I wouldn't be a great photographer without the hardware. :) Much love.

I was working on a photo set for a few days and finally I just had it finished and uploaded on Flickr.
I did a small gig at the Bata Show Museum in downtown Toronto on Bloor and St.George. Will from I AM Entertainment invited me to shoot this gig and networked with a few designers and some local sponsors. Fun times as always, the DJ was playing some Katty Perry tracks and Miley Cyrus. Will was doing his thing with the Cam. I met a new homie, Mario Ventura of Ouimagine Inc. All the runway models were styling with them #fancy shoes. The appetitzers was hella healthy and the drinks were free, can't complain.

After several months of waiting, I finally own a very powerful software for photography. At last, it is within my grasp. HDR is so popular and easy to shoot with the proper hardware but to finalize and showcase your work you will need Photomatix Pro from HDR Soft.

If you haven't noticed, I already changed my main image of my blog from a regular HDR merge in CS4 into Photomatix. The difference is Stellar! I will definitely enjoy it while everyone else gets to. *Happy Snapping :)

I'm at Yorkdale mall, just looking at this line-up for the new release of the iphone4 I think Mac did a great job marketing this unit and besides the the antenna issue people are still comfortable with this product.

So i've taken on the responsibility of babysitting my fiancee's dogs. Technically she only has one dog, Ikea ( Chihuahua ) and then her brother's dog, Digger ( beagle ). I love both of them because they behave so well. But when they are together its "chaos." Such little children! It's going well so far, Ikea loves the attention and Digger doesn't mind being independent except when he needs to eat his dinner. Because of they're eating schedules, I have to work around their time so I can enjoy my day. I tried having both of them at the same house while I work on my projects but it was impossible. They wanted my attention especially Ikea, because Digger is not allowed on the carpet he was purposely doing it so I can play with him. Drives me bananas... I can't wait till my fiancee and her family comes back. I miss her and the fam.

HURRY!!

...Shooting photography this year is starting on the right track. I spent a few hours with my ex co-worker Mike who has a business running known as iART. We were out yesterday doing a photoshoot for one of his clients. I must say, it feels great to hear the sound of the D90 shutter again. I'll be helping him alot to push his business to become successful. So stay tuned for that and for more events happening on my blog.
